The teaser images released by Proton show that the compact car comes with state of the art features which includes projector headlamps, touchscreen display, engine start stop button, reverse camera, Bluetooth/USB connectivity, WiFi hotspot, satellite navigation, Vehicle Dynamic Control (VDC) and six airbags (dual front, side and curtain airbags both in front and at the rear).
The five seater compact car passed the ANCAP crash test with 5-star ratings, thanks to the safety equipment such as six airbags, VDC, etc. Engine details of Iriz have not yet been revealed but previous leaks indicate that it is powered by 1.3-litre and 1.6-litre VVT petrol engines.
Three variants, namely Standard, Executive and Premium, will be available for Iriz. The compact car is designed with top level safety and fuel efficiency in mind, at an affordable price. It will be priced lower or equivalent to comparable models in the same segment.
