Pay Phone Bills & Get Up to 15% Rebates

In my previous posts, I had introduced two of the best rebate credit cards. So have you got your OCBC Titanium Card? If not, you better be hurry.

From 1st July to 30th September 2012, OCBC will launch a promotion on online bill payment. When you pay Maxis, Celcom, Digi or TM Bills via OCBC online banking, you will get 10% rebates. If you pay via OCBC online banking for 3 consecutive months, you will get additional 5% rebates in the third month.

Previously, we are not able to pay TM Bills via OCBC online banking with Titanium Card although TM is available in the payee list. I'm not sure whether OCBC had fixed this issue or not. I'll try it during the campaign period and shall feedback to you all in the coming post.

Update on 1 July
I've added TM to the payee list and able to proceed for payment without any problem.

The Cheapest Post Paid Package by Celcom

I had been using post paid package by Maxis for more than 5 years. I'm a light user and my monthly average phone bill was around RM25, RM10 for monthly subscription and RM15 for SMS and phone calls.

In mid of 2011, I came across a package offered by Celcom dealer in conjunction with a supermarket. You just need to be main line for non-Celcom mobile service, be it prepaid or post paid, and you need to be the member of the supermarket as well, membership is free of charge.

After considering for some time, I asked my family to convert to Celcom. The contract is valid for 24 months and the first month each line is charged for RM10 stamp duty with monthly commitment of RM2. This package is actually the same as Celcom biz Voice Plan P98 which you need to pay RM98 monthly if you walk in to Celcom centre.

It has been 5 months since I switch to Celcom and my monthly average phone bill has dropped 50% to RM10 as monthly fee is much lower and I can enjoy 3000 minutes of free calls with people under the same corporate. Although the line is not as clear and good as Maxis, it is still a very good deal.

I heard that Celcom dealer is doing this promotion for some MNCs like Intel, Sony and Dell too. If you come across Celcom roadshow, you may approach and enquire about this great package.
