Credit Card Approval within 10 Minutes

Do you know how long it will take for normal application of a credit card from filling up application form until you actually get the physical credit card? From my experience, the normal approval process will normally take two weeks and the fastest approval I heard is one day.

Now RHB has introduced a new instant credit card system to approve credit card application within 10 minutes and issue you a credit card on the spot at RHB participating branches. This service is currently available at RHB in Suria KLCC, Paradigm Shopping Mall and Card Centre Kuala Lumpur.

The minimum requirements for instant credit card application are as follow:

• Valid MyKad for biometric verification
• Minimum annual income of RM24,000 and above
• Latest 6 months EPF statement
• Age between 21-55 years old

If you fulfill the requirements, all you need to do is just walk in to any of RHB participating branches and bring along your MyKad for biometric verification purpose. You can apply for any RHB credit card except RHB Platinum Business Credit Card. These are the steps for application:

1. Personal banker will request you to print your latest 6 months EPF statement right at the RHB branch EPF kiosk.
2. Personal banker will assist you to complete and submit your credit card application via instant card system.
3. You will know your application result in minutes and thereafter you have to sign the approved application before credit card is issued to you.
4. You will be notified through SMS when card is ready for collection, example:” [RM0] RHB Bank: Congratulations! Your [card description] is ready for collection.”
5. You are required to perform MyKad biometric verification to collect and activate your credit card.
6. You can now spend your credit card upon card activation.  

Hopefully this service will be available via Easy by RHB kiosks nationwide as it is a really convenient service to consumers.

Get Cash Back for RHB Credit Card New Approval

RHB Bank is organizing RHB Credit Card Cash Back Campaign which runs from 21 January to 30 April 2013. Every eligible customer can get up to RM 250 cash back when he swipes with his newly approved RHB credit card applied during the campaign.

The campaign is opened to any individual who is a resident of Malaysia, during the campaign period, within a single application form, applies for any one or more of the following principal RHB credit cards:

1. RHB Infinite Credit Card
2. RHB Platinum Credit Card
3. RHB Gold Credit Card
4. RHB EVO Credit Card 
5. RHB Travel Money Credit Card
6. TESCO-RHB Credit Card 

All applicants must be new-to-bank approved credit cardmembers (approved principal cardmembers only). If the applicant  has cancelled  his card previously, it is only considered as new-to-bank if the cancellation period is more than 12 months. 

The application should be submitted by 30 April 2013 and successfully approved by 31 May 2013. Principal cardmember should make the first retail transaction within 45 days from approval date using his successfully approved RHB Principal Credit Card to receive the cash back as stated below:
