Standard Chartered Bank's FD promotion is finally back. This time, the promotion is on the new Online Fixed Deposit Registration Service with SCB, started from 22nd January and ends on 2nd February 2013 or when the FD fund reaches RM 100 million, whichever comes first.

Online Fixed Deposit Registration Service is open only to individual Malaysian citizens, residing in Malaysia. FD placed via this service must be amounts from RM5,000 - RM50,000 only. Individual customers are able to get the special interest rate of 3.50% p.a. for 6-month tenure with fresh fund deposit. The FD will automatically be renewed for further 6-month periods upon maturity, at the then prevailing board rate.
