MBSB Kids' Fixed Deposit

MBSB opened its first Kids Fun branch in Puchong IOI Mall in 6th June 2014. It is the first in the industry to encourage association of MBSB brand through Cheeky Savings Club children's savings account and inculcate good savings habit among the young customers in a fun and easy manner.

Kids Fun branch is the first bank of its kind in the country which offers both banking and a playground environment for children. There are also weekly interactive activities to promote financial literacy and awareness among the younger generation as well as a mini library, children’s movies and songs, children’s online games and a play area that can take up to 35 children.

To further expand the Cheeky Savings Club financial product for children, MBSB will spend about RM 1 million to open two more Kids Fun branches in the country, one in Johor Baru and another in Penang. For as low as RM 20, children from 4 to 12 years old can open an account at the branch, which incorporates a play area, while their parents attend to their financial needs.

Other attractions include a Kids fixed deposit product with a minimum investment of RM 1000. Kids are able to get great returns and enjoy monthly interest payment with the Kids FD. Kids get an experience of opening accounts, depositing and withdrawing money from their accounts.
