CIMB Plug n Pay

Plug n Pay by CIMB Bank is the first ever chip-based mobile point-of-sale (mPOS) solution in Malaysia that offers all businesses an affordable yet secure way to manage electronic payments using smartphones and tablets. Plug n Pay transforms mobile devices into tools of commerce that allow consumers to pay and businesses to receive payments.

The Plug n Pay solution requires Plug n Pay mobile app installed on the smartphone/tablet, the Plug n Pay card reader and data connection. The mobile app is available to download for free on Google Play Store for Android and App Store for iOS. The Plug n Pay card reader that costs RM 250 each is able to accept chip or signature-based credit and debit cards that are either branded Mastercard or Visa.

Businesses are able to send receipts electronically to their customers via email and/or SMS text. Collected funds are available the next business day and are reflected directly in businesses' CIMB Bank current accounts. The Plug n Pay solution  offers its users a comprehensive web-based portal to manage electronic payments whereby real-time transactions can be viewed and location of the transaction can be tracked using the geo-location feature.
