KWSP i-Akaun

I shared about the KWSP account in my previous post. After you have opened a KWSP account, it is recommended that you register for i-Akaun which is an online account to Member's or Employer's KWSP.

With i-Akaun, Members can perform below actions anytime and anywhere:

  1. Check current and previous EPF statements
  2. Check withdrawal application status and history
  3. Check nomination information
  4. Estimate the eligible amount for withdrawals, savings and investments
  5. Update profile including correspondence address
  6. Check current EPF contribution transactions
  7. Check i-Akaun activities log
  8. Request for e-Withdrawal
So how do we register for i-Akaun? There are 2 methods to do i-Akaun registration:
  1. Visit any EPF Kiosk or Counter to obtain the i-Akaun Activation Code by bringing your MyKad or
  2. Contact the EPF Call Centre at  03-89226000 from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
You have to activate your i-Akaun within 90 days using the Activation Code obtained from the registration. To activate, you just need to click on i-Akaun Activation at the KWSP website.

Transaction Authorisation Code (TAC) is now used for certain transactions in i-Akaun to ensure data security. For example, when you forget your User ID or Password, you can get the TAC via SMS when you use the Forgot User ID/ Password function. If you registered for i-Akaun previously but did not register your mobile phone number, you can always register or update your mobile phone number the same method like how you registered for i-Akaun.
