PLUSMiles Touch 'n Go Card

PLUSMiles is a customer loyalty program developed by PLUS Berhad to reward highway users who use PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go card for toll payment. PLUSMiles is open to all residents of Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand who are 18 years old and above.

With PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go card, highway users can:

1. Get 5% toll rebate for total monthly toll usage of RM 100 and above at PLUS*, ELITE, BKE and LINKEDUA* highways.
2. Get PLUSMiles Points for total monthly toll usage of less than RM 100 at highways mentioned above.
3. Enjoy more savings with instant discounts up to 30% at participating PLUSMiles merchants.

*Excluding Bukit Kayu Hitam Toll Plaza, Bangunan Sultan Iskandar Toll Plaza, Tanjung Kupang Toll Plaza and Penang Bridge.

PLUSMiles Touch 'n Go card can be used at all highways and other service providers like a normal Touch ‘n Go card for all vehicle classes. However, entitlement for 5% PLUSMiles Toll Rebate and Points Rewards are only applicable to Private Vehicle Class 1 only and at the highways mentioned above.

PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go card price is RM 10. You can purchase the PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go card at any PLUS Customer Service Centre along PLUS highway, at selected Petron (Esso and Mobil) stations and selected retail outlets.

Users have to register the PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go card at PLUSMiles portal in order to enjoy all benefits and rewards offered by PLUSMiles Program. Please take note that the transactions made on selected date where the festive rebate is given will be excluded from normal PLUSMiles 5% Toll Rebate and Points Reward.

AEON BiG Membercard

AEON BiG launched its member card today in all 28 outlets. The member card is a loyalty card that lets you earn points and get cash rebate. It is free to sign up and open to residents of Malaysia and Singapore, aged 18 years old and above.

You can sign up for the member card at any AEON BiG member card kiosk at all AEON BiG stores nationwide. You just need to complete the application form and present MyKad upon signing up. There's currently a reward book worth up to RM 300 for each new member based on first-come-first-served while stock last basis.

You can use your AEON BiG member card immediately after you sign up and receive the card. You can earn 1 AEON BiG point with every RM 1 spent. Besides, you can earn 50 AEON BiG Eco points each time you use AEON BiG recycle bag on every Saturday.

Every 1000 AEON BiG points collected is equivalent to RM 5 cash back value redeemable in your next purchase. Purchases of mobile top-ups, gift cards, gift cards top-up and tobacco related products are not eligible for AEON BiG points.

Your AEON BiG points will expire 1 year from last usage of your card. You will be notified via email or SMS 30 days prior to the expired date. To check for point balance, you can walk in to any AEON Credit Services Malaysia branches or call Customer Care line at 1-300-80-2366.

The cash rebate you get from AEON BiG member card is 0.5%, same as that of Tesco Clubcard. Visit your nearest AEON BiG outlet today to apply for the free member card, get the limited reward book and start earning points!

Caltex Journey Card

The Journey card from Caltex is a free loyalty card that rewards you every time you purchase petrol at selected Caltex Stations. The Journey card has partnered with BCARD where you can earn and redeem points at various merchants.

Every petrol (RON95/ RON97) purchase of 1 litre will earn you 1 reward point. Mart item purchases are not entitled for reward points. There must be a minimum of 100 reward points accumulated before redemption can be made. You can redeem for petrol (RON95/ RON 97), c-store items and lubricants but not for diesel.

Other than that, the Journey card just acts like an ordinary BCARD. To earn reward points at BCARD participating merchants, just present your Journey card at the counter every time you pay. You can redeem your points for desired purchases at any of the BCARD participating merchants as well.

To apply for Journey card, you just need to follow 3 simple steps below:

1. Visit the nearest participating Caltex station and fill in the application form.
2. Submit your completed form at the payment counter.
3. Collect your new journey card on the spot.

SCB 360° Rewards Points Booster Promotion

It's 1st April and SCB has finally announced its promotion for all customers after it revised all the benefits on its credit card, the 360° Rewards Points Booster Promotion. from 1st April 2013 until 31st May 2013.

You can earn 5X points on local retail spends when you spend with you SCB Credit Card. Then you can convert the 360° Rewards Points into AirAsia BIG Points and redeem flights for your vacation. However, transactions made at petrol stations, transactions for insurance premiums and bill payments will not earn any points.

The number of points that can be earned on all credit cards will be capped at 5x of your combined credit card limit for each statement cycle during the promotion. During non promotion period, the number of points that can be earned on all credit cards will be capped at your combined credit card limit.

In my opinion, this promotion is not really attractive for the 3 main reasons:

1. Promotion period for 5x point is too short, only 2 months.
2. SCB has revised the points for its reward system since 2013.
3. Too many restrictions on earning reward points.

Mach Points for Cash Campaign

Mach Credit Card by Hong Leong is doing second round of promotion to get more new cardholders, started from 20th December 2012 to 28th February 2013. This time, you can turn your existing reward points from other bank into cash back rewards when you sign up for Mach Credit Card and get another RM 50 bonus on top of your cash back rewards.

Of course, you can still keep the reward points from other bank for gift redemption. The conversion of points into cash rebate is calculated as below:

The cash rebate is subject to a maximum capping of RM250 per cardholder, inclusive of the RM50 cash rebate bonus. If you have 100000 reward points or more from other bank, then you can get RM250 from Hong Leong when your application is approved.

MySurvey

I've signed up for MySurvey for around 5 years and had successfully claimed a few vouchers. MySurvey is a website owned by Lightspeed Research, one of the world's leading online market research companies. It collects information about people's preferences for products, services, and marketing programs (such as TV advertisements).

If you like to do survey and get rewards, I strongly recommend you to sign up as a member. Of course, you can't get rich or extra income by doing surveys online as the number of survey is very limited. One week, you can only get one or two surveys, each successful survey will earn you 50 ~ 150 points depending on the length of the survey.

You can claim RM10 voucher with 250 points. Vouchers redeemable are KFC/ Pizza Hut/Ayamas Gift Voucher, McDonalds Voucher, JUSCO Gift Voucher, Parkson Gift Voucher, Isetan Voucher, MPH Bookstores Voucher and Rixty Card.

Comparison of Petrol Station Reward System

Most Malaysians have private vehicles instead of using public transport. Therefore petrol price is always a major concern for most of us. Are you interested to find out which petrol station actually offer the best reward system?

Most of the Esso and Mobil petrol stations have already been rebranded as Petron.

I have come out with a table that lists out all 5 major petrol stations available nationwide, ranking of rebates are from left (highest) to right (lowest), comparison & rebate calculation are based on RON95 petrol.

It is very clear that Esso/Mobil offers the best reward system with 1.5% of rebate, follows by BHP, then Petronas & Shell.
