Popular 90% Books Clearance Sale

We will have a one week school holidays next week. A lot of book sales will be available during this period such as Big Bad Wolf and Popular Book Sales. Popular is having an annual book clearance sale in Penang Island Midlands Park Centre, starting from today until 31st March 2013, 11.00 am to 9.30 pm daily.

The first day is only open to Popular Card members. If you do not have Popular Card, you can apply for the card on the spot and get exclusive gift. You can find a lot of books in English and Chinese with up to 90% discount in the book clearance. 

From 20th to 22nd March, every purchase of RM 120 and above will get RM 20 Popular voucher for free. Another good news, Baucar Buku 1Malaysia is accepted in the book clearance.

Popular will also have another book sale in Seberang Jaya, Sunway Carnival Mall from 21st March onwards. However, the discount is only up to 70% although you can get RM 15 Popular voucher with every purchase of RM 60 and above. Under Budget 2013, Baucar Buku 1Malaysia worth RM 250 will be given to students who are studying at institutions of higher learning such as Form 6, colleges and universities. This is the second time the book voucher is issued and the value is increased from RM 200 to RM 250.

Baucar Buku 1Malaysia is accepted at major bookstores like Popular, Borders and MPH. Each bookstore has also launched promotion to encourage voucher holders to spend in their bookstore. Below table shows the promotion and limitation for the book voucher:

Popular Bookstore Sales

This October, Popular bookstore has launched a 70% discount (70% for Popular card members, 50% for non-members) for over 100000 Chinese books. The books are distributed across all the branches nationwide. So you might be able to find different titles in different branches.

There is another promotion ongoing for only 3 branches in Seberang Perai, Penang, namely Megamal Pinang, Sunway Carnival Mall and Jusco Seberang Prai City. If you purchase RM30 and above, you can get a RM5 promotion voucher that is only redeemable at the above mentioned branches. This promotion is ending soon. So hurry up to grab some books from these branches!
