RHB Golden Horses of Fortune Deposit Promotion

RHB is giving out up to 10% cash back for petrol purchase at all petrol stations nationwide with its Travel Money Credit Card, starting from 1st August until 31st October 2013.

RHB 5% Cash Back on Weekend Shopping

RHB Credit Card has brought another promotion for its cardmembers, the 5% cash back weekend shopping on selected departmental stores, from 19th July to 30th September 2013. This promotion is applicable to all RHB Credit Cards (Principal and Supplementary) except Business Card and RHB Islamic Credit Cards.

This campaign is applicable to 5 selected departmental stores nationwide i.e. AEON Stores, Metrojaya, Parkson, Robinsons and Sogo. For each transaction made at these 5 selected departmental stores nationwide, cardmembers will be entitled to a 5% cash back during Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

There is no minimum spend required for this promotion. The total accumulated cash back is capped at maximum RM 100 per month for both Principal and Supplementary. The cash back earned will be credited into the Principal cardmembers’ account 6 to 8 weeks after the campaign ended.

To participate in this campaign, Principal cardmembers are required to register via SMS:

30% Discount on RHB Safe Deposit Box Rental Rates

How do you secure your valuable belongings like jewelry, grants and certs? Ever thought of keeping them inside a biscuit box or under your pillow? There's a better way of storing personal valuable belongings, that is to keep them inside bank's safe deposit box.

You can get 30% discount on safe deposit box rental rates for the first year when you open a new safe deposit box account with RHB. The promotion is valid until 15th October 2013. Not all bank branches offer safe deposit box service, you can refer to the list of the branches here.

The charges for safe deposit box are not much different for all banks. For certain banks, it is compulsory to purchase additional insurance for the safe deposit box while some banks already cover for the minimum insured amount. In my opinion, if you are interested to get a safety deposit box, find a bank branch that is nearer to your house, with ample parking space and has the safety deposit box size that suits you.

Cash Back for New RHB Credit Card Approval 2

RHB Bank has returned with its credit card cash back campaign with more cash back and benefits compared to its previous promotion. The campaign runs from 15th May to 17th August 2013.

Every eligible customer can get RM 150 cash back when he swipes minimum RM 100 in a single transaction with his newly approved RHB credit card applied during the campaign. The campaign is opened to any individual who is a resident of Malaysia, during the campaign period, within a single application form, applies for any one or more of the following principal RHB credit cards:

Credit Card Approval within 10 Minutes

Do you know how long it will take for normal application of a credit card from filling up application form until you actually get the physical credit card? From my experience, the normal approval process will normally take two weeks and the fastest approval I heard is one day.

Now RHB has introduced a new instant credit card system to approve credit card application within 10 minutes and issue you a credit card on the spot at RHB participating branches. This service is currently available at RHB in Suria KLCC, Paradigm Shopping Mall and Card Centre Kuala Lumpur.

The minimum requirements for instant credit card application are as follow:

• Valid MyKad for biometric verification
• Minimum annual income of RM24,000 and above
• Latest 6 months EPF statement
• Age between 21-55 years old

If you fulfill the requirements, all you need to do is just walk in to any of RHB participating branches and bring along your MyKad for biometric verification purpose. You can apply for any RHB credit card except RHB Platinum Business Credit Card. These are the steps for application:

1. Personal banker will request you to print your latest 6 months EPF statement right at the RHB branch EPF kiosk.
2. Personal banker will assist you to complete and submit your credit card application via instant card system.
3. You will know your application result in minutes and thereafter you have to sign the approved application before credit card is issued to you.
4. You will be notified through SMS when card is ready for collection, example:” [RM0] RHB Bank: Congratulations! Your [card description] is ready for collection.”
5. You are required to perform MyKad biometric verification to collect and activate your credit card.
6. You can now spend your credit card upon card activation.  

Hopefully this service will be available via Easy by RHB kiosks nationwide as it is a really convenient service to consumers.
