Under Budget 2013, Baucar Buku 1Malaysia worth RM 250 will be given to students who are studying at institutions of higher learning such as Form 6, colleges and universities. This is the second time the book voucher is issued and the value is increased from RM 200 to RM 250.

Baucar Buku 1Malaysia is accepted at major bookstores like Popular, Borders and MPH. Each bookstore has also launched promotion to encourage voucher holders to spend in their bookstore. Below table shows the promotion and limitation for the book voucher:
