Hong Leong Debit Card Balik Kampung Promotion

In conjunction with the upcoming CNY holidays, Hong Leong Bank is having a "Balik Kampung" promotion for its Debit Card, starting from 15th January until 30th April 2014.

Just swipe with your Hong Leong Debit Card or Touch 'n Go Zing Debit Card and stand a chance to win a SmartTAG. There are a total of 100 SmartTAG up for grabs. Each Cardmember is only entitled to win 1 SmartTAG. Cardmembers are automatically entitled to earn unlimited number of contest entries based on the following criteria performed during the promotion period:

The cash back is capped at RM 5 per receipt and a maximum of RM 50 per Cardmember throughout the promotion period. Total cash back payout is capped at RM 80000 throughout the promotion period on a first-come-first-serve basis. The cash back will be credited into the Cardmembers’ CASA no later than 31st July 2014.

PLUSMiles Touch 'n Go Card

PLUSMiles is a customer loyalty program developed by PLUS Berhad to reward highway users who use PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go card for toll payment. PLUSMiles is open to all residents of Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand who are 18 years old and above.

With PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go card, highway users can:

1. Get 5% toll rebate for total monthly toll usage of RM 100 and above at PLUS*, ELITE, BKE and LINKEDUA* highways.
2. Get PLUSMiles Points for total monthly toll usage of less than RM 100 at highways mentioned above.
3. Enjoy more savings with instant discounts up to 30% at participating PLUSMiles merchants.

*Excluding Bukit Kayu Hitam Toll Plaza, Bangunan Sultan Iskandar Toll Plaza, Tanjung Kupang Toll Plaza and Penang Bridge.

PLUSMiles Touch 'n Go card can be used at all highways and other service providers like a normal Touch ‘n Go card for all vehicle classes. However, entitlement for 5% PLUSMiles Toll Rebate and Points Rewards are only applicable to Private Vehicle Class 1 only and at the highways mentioned above.

PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go card price is RM 10. You can purchase the PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go card at any PLUS Customer Service Centre along PLUS highway, at selected Petron (Esso and Mobil) stations and selected retail outlets.

Users have to register the PLUSMiles Touch ‘n Go card at PLUSMiles portal in order to enjoy all benefits and rewards offered by PLUSMiles Program. Please take note that the transactions made on selected date where the festive rebate is given will be excluded from normal PLUSMiles 5% Toll Rebate and Points Reward.

Touch 'n Go Toll Rebate

Sinar Harian reported that an estimated RM 49 million in rebates for Touch 'n Go and SmartTAG users have gone unclaimed since 2009. The Malay daily revealed that many consumers were unaware that there were rebates to be claimed, while some said that the process was too complicated and did not bother to claim them.

The toll rebates are usually given to Touch 'n Go and SmartTAG users during festive seasons like Merdeka, Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Deepavali, Chinese New Year, Christmas and so on.

In addition, for frequent travellers who perform at least 80 toll transactions a month with Touch 'n Go or SmartTAG, 20% toll rebate would be given at that month. This program started on 1st September 2009 and open to all private owned Class 1 vehicles using Touch `n Go and SmartTAG for toll payment.

There are two methods to check your rebate entitlement:

1. Just bring your Touch `n Go card to any sales and service counters to check your rebate entitlement and redeem  the available rebates.
2. Register your card online and check your rebate entitlement at your convenience before visiting the counter.

The rebate value is given as reload value for your Touch `n Go card only and cannot be claimed as cash. It is valid for 6 months. You can enjoy this rebate program together with other existing rebate program or discount schemes.

Free SmartTAG with AffinBank Touch 'n Go Credit MasterCard

Affin Bank Berhad and Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd have jointly organized a campaign for free SmartTAG with AffinBank Touch 'n Go Credit MasterCard from May 2013 onwards and while stock lasts.

The campaign is automatically open to all new AffinBank Touch ‘n Go Credit MasterCard principal applicant. SmartTAG will be given upon credit card activation with Touch ‘n Go reload performed within 30 days from the card issuance date on first come first serve basis. Each principal cardmember will be entitled for 1 SmartTAG only, regardless of the number of AffinBank Touch ‘n Go MasterCard Credit Cards approved, including supplementary cards.

Toll Discount for Deepavali & Awal Muharram

School holidays start today in Kedah, Kelantan and Terengganu while Deepavali and Awal Muharram fall on next week. Many people are taking leaves to go back to hometown or travel within Malaysia. Here's the good news for all who are travelling!

24 highways will offer toll discounts and rebates while 5 highways will slash toll rates in conjuction with Deepavali and Awal Muharram holidays.

Rebates (20% on Deepavali, 10% on Wednesday and Awal Muharram) will be given to Class 1 motorists who use Touch-n-Go or SmartTag on below highways:

1. North-South Expressway (PLUS)
2. North-South Expressway Central Link (Elite)
3. Seremban-Port Dickson Highway (SPDH)

30% PLUS Toll Rebates on Raya Merdeka Holidays

Good news to all Malaysians! PLUS is giving 30% toll rebate to motorists paying toll electronically using the PLUSMiles cards, Touch 'n Go cards or SmartTAG on Aug 15, 16, 22, 23 and 31.

However, the toll rebate would not be given to motorists using the toll plaza at Tanjung Kupang, Bukit Kayu Hitam, Sultan Iskandar Building and the Penang Bridge.

Motorists could claim the rebate at the PLUS customer service center when they wanted to top up their cards from Oct 1 to Dec 31.

Touch n Go Reload at senQ

In my previous post, I shared about where you could reload your Touch n Go without RM0.50 charge.

Today, I'm going to share on where you could use your credit card to purchase or reload Touch n Go card and get rebates. 22 selected senQ outlets nationwide are now offering Touch n Go services.

There is RM0.50 charge for each reload. However, the good thing is they accept AMEX and you could use your Maybank 2 Card AMEX to get 5% rebate on weekends.

Next time when you want to reload your Touch n Go, remember to use your Maybank 2 Card AMEX to reload at senQ on weekends to get maximum rebates.

Touch 'n Go Reload

There are many places where you can reload your Touch 'n Go card but most of them will charge you RM 0.50 transaction fee each time you reload.

Places where you can reload your Touch 'n Go card for FREE:

1. PLUS office beside toll.
2. Selected petrol station by highway.
3. Touch 'n Go spot.
4. Selected KTM station.
5. CIMB Bank ATM.

CIMB Bank has a lot of branches all over Malaysia and it is the most convenient method for you to reload your Touch 'n Go card for free. All you need to have is a saving account with an ATM card. The minimum reload amount is RM50.00.

Steps to reload:

1. Just go to the ATM with a Touch 'n Go logo on the right side of the screen.
2. Insert your ATM card and key in PIN number.
3. Then choose Touch 'n Go reload.
4. ATM would prompt you to put your Touch 'n Go card on the Touch 'n Go logo.
5. ATM would then display your Touch 'n Go card current balance.
6. Proceed to choose the amount you wish to reload.
7. Your ATM card would be ejected from the ATM machine.
8. ATM would again prompt you to put your Touch 'n Go card on the Touch 'n Go logo.
9. After transaction is done, a receipt will be printed.
